The son of King Nikuṁbha (Nikumbha) of the Iṣāku (Ikshaku) dynasty. In the other Purāṇas (Puranas), he was known as Saṁhatāśwa (Samhataswa). [See Saṁhatāśwa (Samhataswa) ]
