Amogha is a Yakṣa (Yaksha; one kind of demi-god), a follower of God Śiva (Siva). When Skanda-Kārtikeya(Kartikeya) was appointed the general of the Deva-army. Mahādeva (Mahadeva), along with Pārvatī (Parvati), set out for Bhadravaṭa (Bhadravata). At that time, this great Yakṣa called Amogha, accompanied by many other Yakṣa and Rākṣasa(s) (one kind of demons), was walking beside Mahādeva, keeping to his right side.
