Arāli (Arali) was one of the Brahmavādī (Brahmavadi; one who explains the knowledge of Brahman of the absolute reality) sons of Rājarṣi (Rajarshi; a king with the attributes of a sage) Viśvāmitra (Viswamitra). This reads as Ārāni (Arani) in a different version, which can be taken as faulty, since dantya ‘na’ comes after ‘ra’.
