Sayantani Sengupta is a research scholar of English literature at University of Calcutta. A voracious reader, she especially loves the richness and the depth offered by mythological texts and the multivalent ways in which they can be perceived. Her area of interest includes the various re-readings of Indian mythology, specifically Mahabharata and Ramayana. Being a part of the Puran Kosh project allows her to indulge her affinity towards the puranic tales and legends. When she is not busy with her kindle, whipping up exotic dishes, or scribbling inanities in her diary, she enjoys humming bhajans.
