    Varāhamihira (Varahamihira), in his Bṛhatsaṃhitā (Brihatsamhita), refers to Añjanaparvata as an east country mountain range. As it has been mentioned in association with Magadha and such east country place names, the possibility of presence of a mountain range of that name in Eastern India at that time can not be entirely dismissed.
