After somakraya (the purchase of soma), the iṣtiyajña ( ishtiyajna; a kind of beneficial yajña) performed for the saṁvardhana (ritual felicitation, showing hospitality towards the soma) of that krītasoma (purchased soma) is called Āthithyaiṣti.
