The death of Ugrāyudha (Ugrayudha), a warrior who fought on behalf of the Kauravas, was mentioned in the Śalyaparva (Salyaparva) of the Mahābhārata (Mahabharata). When Dhṛtarāṣtra (Dhritarashtra) mourned the death of powerful Kaurava warriors after the defeat of the Kauravas, Ugrāyudha (Ugrayudha) was also mentioned among them. Dhṛtarāṣtra (Dhritarashtra) praised his excellence in the art of archery. But the country to which Ugrāyudha (Ugrayudha) belonged or his dynasty remained unmentioned.
