Aṃśu (Angshu) is one of the one thousand and eight names of Śiva (Shiva). Annotator Nīlakaṇṭha (Nilakantha), while defining the meaning of Aṃśu, has said— aṁśurddevatābhedaḥ.

Since Mahādeva (Mahadeva) also assumes the form of Aṃśu who is one of the many Ādityas (Adityas), Mahādeva is also known as Aṃśu.
