Anukārī (Anukari) is an appellate of Śiva-Mahādeva (Siva-Mahadeva). Etymollogicaly the term means a person who mimics certain topic or a course of actions. Śiva, the benevolent deity and benefactor of devotees, mimics the desires of his devotees; in other words, he makes the desires of his devotees come true in order to please the devotees. That is why a name of his is Anukārī.
