Ajita, along with another deities known as Āyuṣmanta (Ayushmanta), was responsible for the creation of fourteen gaṇa (gana; group) of gods. All of them lived in mahaloṝka (mahalorka; the divine realm) from where they descended into janaloka (the realm of the mortals).
